Hello!

Wow It was a pretty good week here in the Philippines.

I don't have a ton to say, I am currently adjusting to a new companion. We are both learning and growing, and we are learning to do it together.

Have a good week!

Sister Dugger

Happy Easter! They gave us some eggs, from their little hunt. We ate them for lunch after church, it was pretty good. Featuring my new companion ;)

I found imported chips and salsa. Yep I bought it. No regrets.

Blurry picture with the other sisters. We didn't feel like cooking so we got a 10 peso bowl of lugaw. It was delicious. :)
One of the top cutest babies I've ever seen! She is the great grand daughter of the sister that has the avocados.

Also! The avocados here are 100% different than the ones in America. Not to brag but......be jealous. We were making "ice candy,"  they were mashing it to make it into what is sort of a popsicle.

Happy Easter!

I am so sorry I wasn't able to call! We decided to work in the morning instead of later this evening, so I wasn't able to call.

Wow much has changed. Sister Cabrera is the best, I love her. She is really quiet and chill, so I'm getting used to that. Sometimes she's hard to read, but she's chill.

We have been tracting and finding very urgently this week, which was both exhausting and exciting. I learned a lot about the difference a big smile can make in talking to people. I would just smile really big at them, and then express interest in their lives. I don't know, I have just been working hard to let my desire to love them drive me, and it has been great. I have seen many sacred miracles this week, as I have tried to not just give a pass along card to everybody, but really talk to everyone. I don't know if that makes sense, but it makes talking to people a richer experience. :)

We stopped and talked to one lady who was sitting fanning her baby while he slept, (cause it's insanely hot).  We just started making conversation, and I asked who lives with her here at her house. (sounds weird but not weird here) To my surprise she began to cry. She told me she has a 4 year old (named Drake) and a baby. She dropped out of college to be their mom so she doesn't have a job. She then went on to tell me that literally just the day before, her boyfriend of 7 years left her. She is also epileptic, and has seizures. She wonders why her, and as she cried I gave her a big hug and told her we're friends now. :) I told her Heavenly Father knows her and loves her, I explained we have struggles to learn and grow here. I gave her a book of Mormon, and told her it's not an accident we met, it's really the will of God. :)

Anyway, I also got to sing, "I am a child on God" while a member played his homemade uklele (I don't know how to spell that). The coolest part, was his non-member brother requested the song!  He said he's not a member, but he loves that song cause it's true. :)

Pictures.....I have none, cause I forgot my camera. Next week. :)

Until next week! :)

Last Week With Sister Marzan

Hello!

This has been my last week with sister Marzan. :( We cried a lot last night when we found out, but it's okay.

I ate octopus yesterday......it was chewy, but I was pretty hungry.

Happy Sunday

Okay, much has happened. Saan ba ako dapat magsimula....

Brother J got baptized! It was a wonderful service.

We had exchanges with the sisters in San Andres, which was really fun. :) I got to work with sister Ramiro, and she is wonderful. She is training a new missionary right now, even though she just finished training. While we were planning, I found out she saved all the lessons she was nervous about for me. Haha! It was exciting, I got to teach law of chastity twice. It was a good teaching moment, we talked about how you don't have to be shy when teaching commandments, cause it's the will of God. :) One of the people we taught, had read the pamphlet before the lesson so he was prepared. I asked him about his thoughts, and he told me he had no idea that was a sin. He then went on to express the great sorrow in his heart, so we also got to teach repentance and the power of the atonement. I also got to attend their district council, which was nice. I will include the picture I took with her. :)
